Techniques
| A balanced life is essential to optimal health. Maintaining a balance in diet, exercise, work, and relationships are important for our physical and mental well-being. If balance is not maintained our bodies can manifest stress and strain with tension headaches, sore or tight muscles. Regular massage provide the positive touch necessary to maintain balance in our lives. My techniques are as follows: |

Therapeutic
Therapeutic massage restores balance, and brings the body back to normal by triggering the relaxation response. Massage can also relieve many mental and physical problems caused by prolonged stress. Stress accumulates over time and leads to chronic tension and anxiety, feelings of being "stressed-out", and a modern problem called "hurry sickness". |
Swedish
A Swedish Massage is one of the most basic techniques. The focus of Swedish massage is general relaxation, stimulation of circulation, enhancing muscle tone and is also therapeutic in reducing muscle tightness. A good Swedish massage therapist will know how to apply the basic techniques to most any condition, injury or situation. |

Pregnancy
A Pregnancy Massage will help you experience your body changes in a positive way. It is a wonderful method to relax, increase your energy, and relieve discomfort during your pregnancy. Massage will loosen tight muscles and calm the nervous system. It increases circulation, brings nutrients to your cells and carrying away metabolic waste products. A soothing massage can relieve physical and emotional tension,as well as, help you sleep better.

Raindrop Technique
Raindrop Technique is a procedure that uses essential oils to enhance the health and well being of the recipient. It includes the use of essential oils to relax muscles and realign the spine and also to uplift and balance emotions. This technique is a revolutionary way to look at bringing balance and harmony to the body-physically, mentally, and emotionally. It can be helpful as a preventative prior to the stress of travel or for seasonal or regular maintenance. |
Infant Massage Instructor
Research shows that touch is as essential to proper human development as food, warmth, and shelter. Exposing your baby to regular massage can:
- Help your infant digest better, speeding the baby's weight gain and growth
- Build muscle tone, coordination and brain functioning
- Stimulate child's circulation, helping to heal any birth-related trauma
- Calm you baby's nervous system
- Establish a pattern of relaxation at an early age; one that your child can follow into adulthood
- Counterbalance frightening negative messages about touch, teaching lessons about positive touch your child will carry throughout life.

Hot Stone
Hot Stone Massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage. The heat helps tight muscles release. |
Myofascial Release
MFR is the release of the muscle and tissue which are shaped by the body's history, resulting in the body's current posture, function, and dysfunctions. Muscle and fascia are pliable; both can be stretched to give new shape, mobility, and function to the body. Myofascial Release (MFR) is the process of manually stretching muscle and fascia. |
